People at consoles at Amecon 2006 After another successfull year at Amecon 2006, DDR:uk are proud to announce that is has been asked back to run the games room at the next Amecon event! Dates and times to be decided still. This is the first event where DDR:uk have had a large area to work with, and no restrictions, which meant that we could bring out all the stops! Not just taking our rhythm action game collection, we went all the way, and bought everything! From the newest Playstation and Nintendo hardware, all the way down to the retro consoles of Sega! We also included a handheld games area, where people with their Nintendo DS's, Sony PSP's, or anything else for that matter, were able to sit down with their friends at selected power points so that their games were not interupted! Of course the usual games had to come, Dance Dance Revolution, Dancing Stage, Para Para Paradise and of course DDR:uk's Offical Dance Machine, the DanceDX!

Members sing at Amecon 2006 Guitar Hero and Singstar made a showing too, with queues for the games room heading out of the door and down the stairs at times! Amecon is a university based anime convention, one of the largest in the UK with over a thousand members turning up at the door! Amecon also included such events as the masqurade, which was presented by Ame-chan, (as voiced by Monica Rial!), anime showings, discos, and the Cosplay Ball which concluded Amecon's succesfull weekend.
