Aw. I used to live a short walk away from there (I learned to DDR there). I now live in Ireland. It sounds fun, too.

FACT: When I first passed So Deep, I was wearing a suit and businessman-shoes, and I had just drunk a soda, which, for the record, tasted really good.

I've got some pix of the Jubeat cab up on my site here - The songs look the same from what you've discribed, BtHvnVrs.

I'd like to know if the cab design is any different.

One thing to note is that with e-Amuse in Japan it skips the practice mode except for the first time you register the card.

My impressions: It's a fun game to play, but it doesn't quite feel as satisfying to play as IIDX or Pop'n (the buttons don't quite feel right). The difficulty curve is also way way easier than either Pop'n or IIDX - I was able to get up to passing Level 8's on Extreme in ~10 credits. My gripe with the game is that unlocks in Japan take forever (there's a class system). Since I doubt there's going to be eAmuse in the UK this shouldn't be a problem - but the lack of eAmuse also means lack of online play/score tracking, which was IMHO very well integrated into the game.

Went down there today and had lots of fun with Jewbeat.

Someone had spilt drink on the right machine but it seems OK now.

I ended the day with being able to pass level 8 songs with a B.

Notes to Konami: 2 songs for £1 is overpriced, up it to 3 songs, also add more songs, 20 is a bit limited.

One tidbit I heard from a Konami rep who came around while we were there is that uBeat is really only a working title and it's apparantly going to be called Disco Duck when they release it officially.

In The Dancing Euro Stage Mix Paradise A Go-Go DX Duck 2 Beat?

2 songs for a pound sounds about right if there are only 20 songs to choose from, the main problem is the number of songs there, specially if they only have 3 difficulties and no super hard stuff. Even 30-35 would have been acceptable imo.

Disco Duck

Disco Duck? WTF?

How the hell does that name even give justice to the game itself?

Sure the name is not an important factor of any game (see Dance Dance Revolution versus Dancing Stage). It does not matter at all in that regard (since they work well either way).

But this.

If you were to pick, would you go for:
-Jubeat/Ubeat
-Disco Duck

So yeah, disco duck...........yuck :-)

P.S.
It does look like a cool game (even since it had its location tests in Japan and Other Asia).

I just feel dismayed if they give it a ****ty name. :-)

I beat many jews yesterday, was very good.
It's also good that you can get a pint of Strongbow and a Big Mac without walking too far from the pretty shiny cubes :-)
