The new Dance Dance Revolution Home version has been announced, With its new pad featuring 8 panels instead of the 4 we're used to. Coming to both Xbox 360 and PS3.
Details are sketchy at best, other than the new pad and that 50 Licenced songs will be on disk including Rihanna, Ne-Yo, Coldplay, Gorillaz, and 150 songs from older mixes will be DLC at launch.

They cant possibly use pump mode...surely that would infringe on Adamiro's patent? Well, I guess they will get away with this 8 arrow mode, as long as they dont use the same conbination of patterns as they use on PIU, they should be fine....Or will they?
Anyone know anything about the legal issues regarding this? Will Adamiro have a case?
I cant wait to see what the charts are like...I hope Konami have got better at stepcharts, as now more casual people will be playing, so they cant be having BS double steps and spins everywhere! Considering they are stating 150 songs, thats a big project for a company that has only released about 50 songs on a CS version, and most of them were recycled from older mixes etc.
P.S. I assume Konami is making this? Hence the 'dance dance revolution'?

Konami are making this, Its 50 songs On disk, the 150 figure have to be downloaded via XBL or PSN.

Hey, there's nothing that says the middle panel isn't secretly a button.
DDR games have used diagonals before, anyway. I remember using diagonals way back on the PS1, and finding it totally impossible to play.

There was Solo mode back in the day, and Solo Mixes in the Arcades.
I'd be interested to see if they have made 8 Panel charts or if there auto-Gen'd because of the amount of songs on there.
