News Summary

A few changes here and there, and we are now able to make short summaries before actually making a post! -- There have been a few changes with the new system across the board, so hopefully things will be easier for everyone in the future. I am looking to make the front page more interesting as time goes on.

Been a very long night, but I think I have got most of the changes sorted!
Basically starting with the stop, new front page. This is in line with the updates below as well, short summaries of the posts again, but this time a little more intuitive. No tags will be rendered on the front page (except I may change that for summary based ones, like Bold and Italics). But for the time being tell me what you think.
Secondly news posting can be done from any forum now. Basically when you post an item, you can tick the publish as news tick box and it will submit the post to the moderators to be put up. Note that if you are in any forum OTHER THAN the main news forums, then the post will be posted as normal, and once a moderator is happy with what they see, it will be linked on the front page!
Some extra coding needs to be done, but I will also set it up so that you can publish a news item to the front page from an already existing forum post, but that's in the pipeline!
Any feedback will be greatly appreciated!

I like it! The front page was waaay to long to scroll down, this way it's a lot more manageable.

Yeah I have heard many different things from people, needs to be longer, needs to be shorter.. at least in its new form I can change all that without major code changes now!

One more quick update, in the thread options the bottom of posts which have not been published as news, you have a new option to "Request to publish as news", this will basically send the post to a news authorisation queue, and we can then get other posts published.
They will go up on the front page in the order they are then authorised by a moderator (which means if your post is 3 months old, it will appear at the top!)
