Apparently it gets entered via the front title screen after inserting a credit but before you press start... meaning you'll have no way of knowing if its worked until you press start and use your credit.
See how long that stays amusing with Trocs floor panels

XD how strange, i'll stomp it out well and good before having a go then, assuming the p1 side is still ok to use that is
any guesses to whether it undoes the code if you do any steps after it?

Well.... the code is entered via both 1player then 2player side if you check the chart. Dunno if 'additional' steps matter but earlier today player1 side kept getting stuck arrows on left and up and player2 side arrows were subject to lots of ghosting... enough to fail me on Un Deux Trois.

The P1 Up arrow was sticking VERY regularly on friday, didnt matter how i tried playing, barless with bar, socks + tiptoe or Flat footing, just couldnt get it to behave so i couldnt even enter the damn code!
