You know, I have to wonder when you guys go to 5 Ways, since I've met like 3 good players there, one of them wasn't even DDRUK, one of them wasn't properly Birmingham resident (London uni), and the other is, I think, Subaroo. And I don't think any of them were you!
Have they fixed that machine yet? I don't really want to waste a trip to Brum (40 miles) again only to be drowned out by the venue's music or something. I've not been in about 3 weeks now.

I haven't been to 5 ways in a while, had been caught up looking for work. But I do go there when I can. I mostly am there during times when no one will be around though.
I doubt the machine is fixed properly - I know it works ok and the music is only 'ok'. Because I play during times no one is around, it's all a-okay for me.
I live in Sutton Coldfield so if I am at 5 Ways it's during the day. Travel in the midlands is rubbish in evenings!
When I do plan to go - I put up a quick post here to let people know.

Possibly going to 5 Ways today for an hour or two around midday.
Otherwise I'm definitely there this Sunday around 1/2pm.
Easier to be in touch with me at my facebook - if you want to arrange meet ups. send me a PM.

As much as the poor manager guy at 5 ways was clearly excited to see me go there again some time ago, their machine is only getting worse. It's still quiet; the bars are still rubbish; the 2P start button still doesn't work properly; the right side lights are still off; the screen is still fuzzy and now the P1 left arrow has started to play up.
And the toilet cubicle locks have now been broken for months.
He says the Dudley site makes more money than them. At least on the DDR front, that's something they deserve. Dudley has its faults (not the least that they only have one machine), but they're far less terminal. They even have a working lock on half of their toilet cubicles!

Ouch - haven't been to 5 ways in a long time now. It's quite out of reach for a broken machine and hot aired place.
Saying that I'm going to visit Coventry today to see a PIU NXA machine (which I've only learnt of it's existence as of late) - and even though my withdrawal symptoms of PIU since leaving London back in Feb this year - my heart is hyped but I'm really expecting something bad to happen lol.
Yeah I'm expecting some dodgy arrows, blue cornered screen or something...
Going to 'the buzz' today around 2/3pm or I've heard it's now called 'Spongebobs'. Any regular PIU players in Cov? I'm suddenly so happy to have heard of this machines' location - considering how expensive it is to get into London from Birmingham.
